The Porsche 718 Cayman and Cayman S can be flashed via the OBDII port and via a bench flash.  To do the ECU either way, it has to be unlocked first on the bench.  This requires the ECU to be removed from your vehicle and sent in.  Here is how it is done which is extremely easy!

Step 1:  Pop your boot lid of the Cayman

Step 2: Remove your oil fill and radiator fill cap covers.  Then lift up on the forward side of the plastic horizontal covering to loosen the clips.

Step 3:  Now lift up on the rear part of the horizontal cover.

Step 4:  Using your hands, pull back the carpet.

Step 5:  You should now be able to see the ECU and reach inside.

Step 6:  Use a small 10mm socket to remove the 2 nuts on the bottom and 1 nut on the top that is holding the ECU in place.

Step 7:  With the ECU loose, unclip the top and bottom harness and then slide the ECU out.

The ECU has been removed and can be sent in for tuning!
